At least 12 people were killed and 10 others injured in a bomb blast in northwestern Pakistan's Peshawar city on Tuesday, state-run PTV reported.
A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) vehicle was heading to a base near Peshawar, capital city of North West Frontier Province, when it came under attack on the Kohat road, said the report.
As a result, 12 people including seven PAF personnel were killed and 10 others, mostly PAF personnel, injured. Witnesses said the vehicle was still burning after the attack.
The injured have been shifted to local hospitals for treatment. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Security forces sealed off the blast site soon after the attack at a busy locality of the city.
It might be a suicide attack, police said, adding that investigations were continuing.
