A total of 19 laws come into effect on Friday, including an anti-monopoly law that provide a free and fair competitive environment for all enterprises.
The anti-monopoly law was first drafted in 1994 after preparatory work began as early as 1987.
The China News Service reports nine of the new laws are being implemented at the national level and 10 are local.
