Cai Sang Zi

A light canoe,a short paddle--the West Lake is wonderful!
Blue water meanders;
Along the sweet grassy banks of the long dykes,
One hears,from somewhere,songs and music
That trail you everywhere.

Breezeless, the water is as smooth as mirror.
One hardly feels the boat moving,
But a stir of the waveless,even so slight,
Would scatter the waterfowl to skim along the banks.

輕舟短棹西湖好,
綠水逶迤,
芳草長堤,
隱隱笙歌處處隨

無風水面琉璃滑,
不覺船移,
微動漣漪,
驚起沙禽掠岸飛.
