  • Some Simple Words about Friendship

    2008-07-31 18:51:14

by Echo Ruan         Jul. 31, 08

Friendship is warm in cold winter and cool in hot summer.  I am so lucky that there are always good friends along with me. Deep friendship is sincere and close, just  like love. But, friendship is more easy to last longer than love. I know, a man who wouldn't  show his true heart couldn't get true friendship. So, I don't fear to be hurt, only there is hope to get.

Someone said "Gentlemen's friendship is as plain as water", I agree with  it, but can't be satisfied with it. I like gentleman's friendship, but I also need close friend just beside me. Then, I can share my joy and sadness with him or her (you know, there are always something you can't share with your love), even only a song or an article I like, or just some interesting thing. And, I'd like to speak some words from the bottom of my heart, not just say hello or talk about weather.

King Arthur and his Knights: Excalibur

Excalibur

Arthur rode away with Merlin and said: “I broke my sword during the fight with Sir Pellinore. I am king because of that sword. I must have another sword.”

“Come with me then.” Said Merlin.

Arthur followed Merlin to a lake of clear water. In the middle of the lake, Arthur saw an arm. The arm was holding a sword in a beautiful scabbard.

“Look!” said Merlin. “That is the sword and that is the Lady of the Lake. Ask her kindly and the sword is yours.”

Arthur saw a beautiful lady in a boat on the lake. He asked her, “Can I have that sword?”

She answered, “Yes, you can have it. Take my boat and go and get it.”

Arthur and Merlin went to the middle of the lake. There Arthur took the sword. He was very interested in it. He took the sword out of the scabbard and looked at it. It was a beautiful sword with jewels on it.

“Look, Merlin,” he said, “the word Excalibur is written on it.”

“Yes, Excalibur is the greatest sword in the world. But its scabbard is more precious.”

    “Why?” asked Arthur.

“It has a great magic power,” said Merlin. “When you wear it, you never bleed even if you are wounded. When you fight, you must always have the scabbard with you.”

King Arthur and his Knights: Britain Has a King

Arthur was a young king. He was about twenty years old. He lived at Camelot. His first years as king were difficult. He fought against many enemies from other lands, particularly the Saxons. Some noblemen of his court caused trouble. They did not want to obey a young king.

King Arthur was very adventurous. He liked riding his house and looking for adventures. He was courageous, loyal and friendly. His people loved him.

One day, King Arthur was riding in the forest. He saw a fountain. Near the fountain there was a knight named Sir Pellinore.

“Stop!” said Sir Pellinore. “You cannot go past the fountain! You must fight with me first!”

King Arthur answered, “I’m ready to fight!” The two knights began fighting. First they fought with their lances. Then they fought with their swords.

During the fight, Arthur’s sword broke. Sir Pellinore said, “I’m the winner!”

At that moment, Merlin appeared and said, “Pellinore, this knight is your king! King Arthur!” Sir Pellinore stopped fighting immediately.

Sir Ector said: “I am not your real father. I don’t know who you are. The magician Merlin brought you to us when you were born. I raised you like a son, and I love you. Now you are a king. God wants you to lead Britain. You must go and do your duty.”

Merlin said to the nobleman: “This is King Uther’s son and he is our new king!”

Young Arthur first became a knight. Then he became King of Britain.

Nike also had to rewrite its playbook for the golf business. Many industry observers and competitors treated Nike like an invading army. After a few years of lackluster shoe and clothing sales, Nike formally separated the golf unit from the rest of the company on its balance sheet. Nike currently controls less than 5 percent of most categories in the golf business. It wants more, of course, but its targets are long term and intentionally vague. The next frontier for Nike is to move even deeper into the subcultures by making the actual equipment

True love doesn't have a happy ending. That's because true love doesn't have an ending.

A heart truly in love never loses hope but always believes in the promise of love, no matter how long the time and how far the distance.

Love has its own time, season and own reasons! You can't ask it to stay, you can only embrace it as it comes and be glad that for a moment in your life it was yours!

The recipe of friendship:1 cup of sharing,2 cups of caring,1 cup of forgiveness and  hugs of tenderness,Mix all these together...to make friends forever.

Happiness is like perfume, you can't pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself .

Friends are like stars. You can't always see them, but you know they are there. Have great hopes and dare to go all out for them. Have great dreams and dare to live them. Have tremendous expectations and believe in them.

As I look back on my past, I remember the tears I cried, the jokes I laughed at, the things I missed and lost, but there's one thing I'll never regret: its the day you  became my friend.

As long as we have memories, yesterday remains, as long as we have hope, tomorrow awaits. As long as we have friendship, each day is never a waste。

Life is like a box of Choconuts, you'll never know if its crushed or not.

We are never given dreams without also being given the power to make them come true.

God never closes a door without opening a window. He always gives us something better when He takes something away。

The greatest regrets in our lives are the risks we did not take. If you think something will make you happy, go for it. Remember that you pass this way only once!

  • Money is not everything

    2007-01-09 21:05:20

    Money is not everything

It can buy you a house but not a home.
It can buy you a bed but not sleep.
It can buy you a clock but not time.
It can buy you books but not knowledge.
It can buy you blood but not life.
It can buy you sex but not love.
It can buy you a position but not respect.
It can buy you medicine but not health.
Money may not be the root of all evil,
But it often brings us anguish and regrets.
Now I would like to tell you how to solve the problem, my dear friends.
And I hope you will forward the solution to other friends of yours.
Give all your money to me. Let me suffer from the anguish for you.
    Right now, Ok? :-)

I've been thinking for a long time about what we do in our life...

We start by being taught in school how to become good citizens.

We spend a great part of our childhood studying,

and finally we get the diploma that will ensure us “the position we deserve”.

We participate to the increase of unemployment.

    ...until we find a job.

Through hard tests we are accepted in the world of work.

We perform a good professional career filled with activity and efforts

…a lot, a lot of efforts...

    …till we fall down exhausted...

BUT we are great professionals with our valuable market share.
    Time keeps  on passing, and...

    ...we select new targets.

We meet the sweetheart of our life...

    ...and promise a neverending love.

    Passionate hugs,

and here comes a baby into our home.

    Damned night,couldn’t close my eyes!

We keep on advancing in the society,

trying to make the best of our time.

We are the stars wherever we go.

    and we are finally RICH!

But we need some time more.

    to triumph completely.

Gosh! One day they tell they can do without you.

By this time, you think getting crazy, you feel destroyed,

you feel you lost means of communication.

You realise you are cut off from everything.

Now time does not pass any longer, still you are loosing it.

You realise you’ve been living in the fog。

in search of a silly target.

    You become a walking ghost.

    trying to escape your enemies.

You are the only one longing for the hours to pass.

    till your time comes.

Upon this evaluation, an idea came to my mind on how to improve my life.

    I'll take things easy.

I'll try to open my heart to my love.

I'll listen more to the ones surrounding me.

I'll save more time to spend it with my friends.

    I'll try to travel more.

    No,karaoke I'll never do,but I believe I'll sing more.

I'll go more times to the seaside.

I'll make my best to cook tasty food.

    I'll join my friends’warmth.

    A bit love more.

I'll be happier to get news from my friends...

    and achieve together common objectives

    I can’t be sure,but I believe it worths trying.

“Well, say what you want, but I am a nice guy!”

I do not know whether it is good for everybody, but I’m sure that at least I will have had a wonderful time… which by the way is what counts more.

    DON’T YOU THINK SO?
